Theotokos More Spacious Than the Heavens

This icon depicts the Theotokos More Spacious Than the Heavens, shown in the traditional Byzantine style. The Virgin Mary is portrayed standing frontally while holding the Christ Child in her arms, symbolizing her role as the living temple who contained within herself the infinite God. Her gentle and contemplative expression reflects humility, maternal love, and spiritual grace, while the Christ Child blesses the faithful, affirming His divine wisdom and authority.
