This handcrafted icon depicts Saint Theodore, presented in the traditional Byzantine style as a holy warrior and martyr of the Christian faith. The Saint is shown standing frontally, dressed in richly detailed military garments and a flowing green cloak, symbolizing courage, spiritual strength, and devotion to God. In his hands he carries a spear and sword, representing his role as both protector of the faithful and defender of Christianity. His calm yet determined expression reflects faith, dignity, and inner peace through martyrdom. Above him, an angel descends from heaven, emphasizing the divine blessing and heavenly honor granted to the Saint.

The background is covered with genuine 24-karat gold leaf, carefully applied by hand. The gold used is real 24K gold. The pigments are specially prepared traditional mixtures, following the methods used in historic iconography.
