Jesus Christ

This icon depicts Jesus Christ as Christ Pantocrator, shown in the traditional Byzantine style. 

Christ is presented frontally, raising His right hand in a gesture of blessing while holding the Holy Gospel in His left hand, symbolizing His divine wisdom, teaching, and authority over all creation. His calm and solemn expression reflects both mercy and justice, inviting the faithful into prayer, contemplation, and spiritual peace. The halo bears the traditional Christogram “IC XC” together with the sacred inscription “He Who Is,” affirming His eternal divine nature.

His garments are painted in deep blue and soft white tones, symbolizing His divinity and purity, while the warm gold background represents the heavenly light and eternal glory of the Kingdom of God. The balanced composition and refined lines follow the timeless principles of Byzantine iconography, emphasizing spiritual presence and sacred beauty rather than earthly realism.

The background is covered with genuine 24-karat gold leaf, carefully applied by hand. The gold used is real 24K gold. The pigments are specially prepared traditional mixtures, following the methods used in historic iconography.
