This handcrafted icon depicts Virgin Mary under the sacred title “Our Lady the Saviour of Souls,” portrayed in the traditional Byzantine iconographic style. 

The Most Holy Theotokos is shown holding the Christ Child with tenderness and solemn dignity, presenting Him as the Savior of the world and the source of eternal life. Her serene and compassionate expression reflects mercy, protection, and maternal intercession for all humanity.

The Christ Child rests peacefully in the arms of His Mother, gazing upward with divine wisdom and innocence. The background is covered with genuine 24-karat gold leaf, carefully applied by hand. The gold used is real 24K gold. The pigments are specially prepared traditional mixtures, following the historic methods used in authentic Byzantine iconography.
