Saint Nicholas

This hand-crafted icon depicts Saint Nicholas, one of the most beloved saints of the Orthodox Christian Church and the holy Archbishop of Myra. 

Saint Nicholas is shown frontally in the traditional Byzantine style, raising his right hand in blessing while holding the Holy Gospel in his left hand, symbolizing his role as teacher of the faith, defender of Orthodoxy, and compassionate shepherd of the faithful.

His serene and wise expression reflects mercy, kindness, and spiritual authority. The saint is dressed in richly detailed episcopal vestments adorned with golden crosses, emphasizing his sacred office as bishop and miracle-worker. The Gospel book, decorated with intricate ornamentation, represents divine wisdom and the eternal truth of Christ’s teachings. The radiant halo surrounding his head signifies holiness and divine grace.

The background is covered with genuine 24-karat gold leaf, carefully applied by hand. The gold used is real 24K gold.
