This icon depicts Jesus Christ in the type known as the “Bridegroom Christ” or the “Extreme Humility” representation, shown in the traditional Byzantine style. Christ is portrayed after His Passion, standing before the Cross with His arms crossed in humility and suffering. His bowed head and sorrowful expression reflect His sacrifice, patience, and boundless love for humanity.

The halo bears the sacred inscriptions associated with Christ, while the Cross behind Him symbolizes His crucifixion and victory over death. Above the Cross appears the inscription “The King of Glory,” emphasizing His divine majesty even in suffering. The background is covered with genuine 24-karat gold leaf, carefully applied by hand. The gold used is real 24K gold.
