Jesus Christ

This icon depicts Jesus Christ as Christ Pantocrator, shown in the traditional Byzantine style.

Christ is presented frontally, raising His right hand in a gesture of blessing while holding the Holy Gospel in His left hand, symbolizing His divine wisdom, teaching, and authority over all creation. His calm and solemn expression reflects both mercy and justice, inviting the faithful into prayer, contemplation, and spiritual peace. The halo bears the traditional Christogram together with the sacred inscription “He Who Is,” affirming His eternal divine nature.

His garments are painted in rich blue, gold, and warm red tones, symbolizing His divinity and His incarnation as both God and man. The finely ornamented Gospel Book and the luminous gold background enhance the spiritual beauty and sacred harmony of the composition. Following the timeless traditions of Byzantine iconography, the icon emphasizes the heavenly presence of Christ and the eternal light of the Kingdom of God.

The background is covered with genuine 24-karat gold leaf, carefully applied by hand. The gold used is real 24K gold. The pigments are specially prepared traditional mixtures, following the methods used in historic iconography. These materials make the icon highly durable and resistant, allowing it to be preserved for hundreds of years, as seen in surviving ancient icons.

Each icon is authentic and handmade by skilled iconographers. Every stage of the process is completed by hand. The wooden panel is specially selected and carved by an expert woodcarver, ensuring stability and quality.
