This icon depicts the Virgin Mary the Guide, also known as “Our Lady Who Shows the Way,” shown in the traditional Byzantine style.

The halos surrounding both figures emphasize their sacred and holy presence within Orthodox Christian tradition.

The garments of the Virgin are painted in deep purple and blue tones with delicate golden details, symbolizing royalty, purity, and spiritual grace. The Christ Child is clothed in luminous gold and white garments, representing His divinity and heavenly glory. The icon is set within an ornate hand-carved wooden frame crowned with a Cross and decorated with floral Byzantine motifs, enhancing its sacred beauty and traditional craftsmanship.

The background is covered with genuine 24-karat gold leaf, carefully applied by hand. The gold used is real 24K gold.
